About Left vs Right News
Compare top news from both sides — side by side, without a feed algorithm picking a lane for you.
Mission
Media bubbles make it hard to notice framing differences. We surface matched pairs of articles on the same topic: one from outlets we label left-leaning, one from right-leaning. You read both. We do not score who is "correct," rank sides, or tell you what to believe.
Matched by AI, approved by a human.
How matching works
- Ingest — we periodically pull politics articles from configured outlets and store basic metadata (title, link, publish time, short summary).
- AI proposes pairs — an AI model suggests which left and right articles cover the same story, with a short note for editors.
- Human approval — editors review proposed pairs, reject bad matches, and only then publish to the homepage. Nothing goes live automatically.
Model match confidence is a pre-review estimate of topic overlap — not a truth or bias score.
Framing
After a pair is approved, we may add brief notes on "What each leads with" — how each side frames the story. Those notes are drafted with AI help and human-reviewed before they appear publicly. Framing is a reading aid, not a verdict.
What we show (and what we don't)
We do not write the original reporting. Homepages and compare pages show outlet names, headlines, and short excerpts so you can see framing differences, then follow Read full article links to the publisher. Always open the originals before forming a firm conclusion.
Left and Right labels are editorial starting points for comparison and navigation. They are not a judgment that one side is correct, truthful, or better, and they are not a claim that every story from an outlet is partisan. Outlet leanings can be imperfect and may change over time.
We are not affiliated with the outlets we surface. Third-party headlines, excerpts, and articles remain the property of their publishers.

Share cards
Compare pages may let you copy a link or download an image for sharing. Those cards are meant to point people back to the paired coverage and the originals — not to replace reading the full articles.
